The Kawartha Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, Ontario Ancestors was formed in 1975. We are a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to supporting genealogical research in the Counties of Haliburton, Northumberland and Peterborough and The City of Kawartha Lakes (formerly Victoria County) in the Province of Ontario, once known as Upper Canada and Canada West.
We organize regular regular educational events and presentations, maintain a genealogical resource library at the Peterborough Public Library and advocate for the preservation and promotion of genealogical resources in the four counties which we serve.
